Huntsville Tornado Donations: St Andrew’s Church

North Alabama and the Huntsville area are in great need of donations due to the recent storm damage and tornadoes.

A good friend of C and K Roofing is involved with one organization accepting donations. If you’re able to help, please consider making your donation through St Andrew’s Church in Madison or one of the many other organizations leading the relief effort. Here’s Bob’s message:

Greetings friends,

Many of you know that I now live in Alabama. On April 27th North Alabama was hammered by 23 devastating tornados. In our area an EF5 tornado with 210 mile an hour winds cut a path 1 1/4 miles wide in places and over 132 miles long. It almost completely destroyed the towns of Phil Campbell and Hackleburg, AL and then marched its way north of Huntsville leaving rubble in its path and lives destroyed.

Thousands of people are now without homes and many lost loved ones. Many of you have contacted me and asked how you can help. Volunteer groups are coming in to assist with cleanup and all hands are welcome! Like most disasters this initial response will begin to fade quickly as the media turns its focus elsewhere.

My church, St. Andrew’s in Madison, AL, is committed to partnering with families and being there for them as they rebuild their lives. There is an amazing story on the church website of a friend of mine who I worked with at Apple Computer who lost everything. It is just one of countless stories here. This is our Katrina and the need is great.
